New to investing

I got my brokerage and investor checking a little bit ago, but I'm new to this. So I thought that I ask for some advice about what to put my money into. I got out of high school a few months ago so there isn't much. I have about 300.

Check out communities like r/cryptomining on Reddit. I’ve learned so much from other miners there about which machines are worth it.

Cooling is super important! I had a rig that overheated because I didn’t set up proper ventilation. It can really impact your hardware's lifespan.

Definitely do your homework on electricity costs! I didn’t realize how much they would eat into my profits until I started mining.

Nice! With $3000, you have some good options. I’d recommend looking into ASIC miners if you’re thinking about Bitcoin—they’re super efficient.

Have you thought about joining a mining pool? It really helps to have a group to share the rewards, especially when you’re just starting out.

Resale value is a good point! I bought a rig that dropped in value quickly—definitely do some research on that front.

Watch out for hardware availability! Some miners are selling out fast these days. You might have to act quickly if you find a good deal.

I’ve found that keeping an eye on market trends helps a lot. What’s hot today might not be tomorrow, so stay updated!

Also, be ready for the volatility in crypto! Prices can swing wildly, so make sure you’re okay with the ups and downs.
