I use mining to keep my brain active after 40 years in a factory

I worked in manufacturing for most of my life—hands-on, clock-in-clock-out. After retiring, I wanted something quiet but engaging. Learning how ETH mining works gave me a little spark again.

Hashhenge makes it manageable. I use an old desktop, nothing fancy. But I still feel like I’m part of a bigger system. That means something.

I spent years fixing tools and machines, and this feels like the same kind of mental work—troubleshooting, adjusting, improving. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one using an old desktop! Do you track the mining stats or just let it run?

My husband worked 35 years at Ford and says the same thing—he needs something to keep his mind busy. We found Hashhenge together and now he does the mining and I handle the staking. It’s become our little team project. How long did it take you to see your first payout from mining?
