Join Is my i5-8600 bottlenecking my GTX 1660 Super? Should I upgrade my CPU?

I’ve got a GTX 1660 Super GPU, and while it’s been decent for most tasks, I’m starting to wonder if my i5-8600 CPU is holding it back from reaching its full potential. I recently got some extra money from a lucky gambling win on Stake, around $1,200 so have been thinking about upgrading the CPU to improve performance.

Do you think it’s worth upgrading? If so, which CPU would be a good fit with the 1660 Super for a noticeable boost without going overboard? I’d love any suggestions for a solid upgrade that would make a real difference for gaming and general workflow. Thanks in advance!

Congratulations on your win!
I am also mining with linked device but it seems most people don’t know that they can link their miner from home to HashHenge if you already got one

Upgrade your i5-8600 to:

1. AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (~$329)
2. Intel Core i5-11600K (~$269)
3. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (~$399)

Check motherboard compatibility, RAM (16 GB+), and cooling first.

You might only have a problem with electricity cost at your home and noise issues which is why purchasing a miner from Hash Henge is considered best choice

Consider an i5-10400 or i5-11400 for a balanced boost in performance without breaking the bank.

The i5-8600 is still a solid CPU, but if you're experiencing performance dips, an upgrade could help.

If you want to future-proof your setup, looking at an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X could also provide great performance gains
