Learning to mine felt like figuring out a radio back in the 60s

I remember tinkering with radios in the 60s—wires everywhere, tuning knobs. Learning to mine ETH on Hashhenge brought back that same feeling. A little confusing at first, but rewarding once it works.

I only use a basic laptop, but it’s mining quietly while I read or play chess online. I’m not trying to get rich. I just like learning how things work again.

That’s a perfect analogy. I was in the Navy in the '60s and we’d fix anything with duct tape and a prayer. I like the quiet hum of this kind of mining—it feels like background magic. Have you tried adjusting the resource slider? I only use 50% to keep the laptop cool.

Oh I love this comparison. I remember my dad fixing our TV with aluminum foil and a screwdriver. That curiosity has stayed with me. Mining here reminds me of that. I started with just the faucet and slowly worked up to mining. How did you decide what settings to use? I was afraid of overheating my laptop.
