At 70 I finally found a side hobby that feels productive

I’ve never been one to sit still, even in retirement. Hashhenge has given me a hobby that actually produces something—ETH. I started small, just with the faucet, and now I’m staking a portion too.

It’s calming to see progress over time. Not fast, but steady. And honestly, it’s nice to feel part of something new again, even in my 70s.

I know that feeling! I’m 74 and I used to quilt every afternoon. Now I do that and also check in on my staking dashboard. It gives me something modern to keep my brain ticking. Do you write down your staking rewards? I use a notebook like a ledger—just like we used to balance checkbooks.

I'm 72 and was very hesitant to get into this space. But Hashhenge has been different—quiet, easy to understand, and doesn’t try to rush you. I like that I can mine or stake without feeling pressure. What made you decide to try staking? Did you watch any videos first?
