I’m retired and mining ETH gave me a new daily purpose

I retired last year, and while I enjoy the quiet, I missed having something small to focus on each day. I stumbled on Hashhenge and started mining out of curiosity. Didn’t expect much—but now, checking my progress has become part of my routine.

The learning curve was real, but I stuck with it. Now I’m not just earning a little ETH—I’m actually learning something new. Anyone else in their 60s or 70s doing this?

I’m 68, and I thought crypto was just a young person’s game. But I started on Hashhenge about two months ago and I’ve been mining ever since. I started slow, and I keep notes in a little binder next to my computer. It’s so satisfying to watch it add up. Have you tried pairing it with staking yet? That’s my next step!

I'm 72 and was an engineer in the '80s. This kind of tech still excites me. The platform is surprisingly friendly—even for folks who didn’t grow up with smartphones. I log in each morning and treat it like tending to a digital garden. Did you have any issues with setup? I had to adjust some browser settings to get mining working well.
