Why I stopped hoarding crypto and started staking it instead

For the longest time, I just held my ETH, thinking I was doing the right thing. But holding didn’t do much for me. Then I heard about staking and finally took the plunge on Hashhenge.

Now, my ETH isn’t just sitting—it’s earning. Even if it’s modest, it’s something. I should have started this months ago.

I felt the same way. Holding ETH felt good on paper, but when I realized I could make it work for me through staking, it changed how I see crypto altogether. I’m curious—how did you decide what percentage of your ETH to stake and how much to keep liquid? I keep 20% unstaked for flexibility. For those curious, it’s easy to start: click “Stake ETH,” enter the amount, and confirm. I also recommend checking the compounding option if you plan to let it sit long-term. Have you set any staking milestones for yourself, like earning 1 full ETH over time?

I always thought staking was something only for advanced users or people with huge balances. It’s encouraging to know that even modest amounts can start generating returns. One thing I wonder—do you find it more satisfying to see your staking balance grow over time, or are you also tracking ROI month-to-month? I’m considering making a simple spreadsheet to track how each week performs. Also, do you reinvest everything or ever take small withdrawals? I’m trying to find a balance between patience and small rewards.
